Wingsurfing or wingfoiling or winging is a relatively new water sport that combines elements of windsurfing, kitesurfing and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). This sport has become increasingly popular in recent years. Wingsurfing can be practiced in various bodies of water, including oceans, rivers and lakes. It requires less wind compared to some other water sports, which makes the sport very popular in low-wind areas.

Many of our Central European inland waters are becoming a Mecca for wingsurfers, because you can have a lot of fun even in gusty, weaker winds and you need less space than with some other water sports. Board: Wingsurfing or wingfoiling is done on a special foil board. These boards are often shorter and wider than conventional windsurfing or SUP boards in order to offer better stability and maneuverability. However, wingsurfing is not only possible with foil boards. You can also surf on the water with a larger windsurfing and SUP board. This helps you to learn the sport more quickly and is also a lot of fun.
Foil: In water sports, especially wingsurfing, surfing, kitesurfing or windsurfing, "foil" often refers to a hydrofoil or "foil" for short. A hydrofoil is a type of fin under the water that allows the board to be lifted out of the water as soon as a certain speed is reached.
