Children's rigs or beginner sails are perfect for children and teenagers and for beginners in the sport. They are easy to control, light and do not generate excessive pressure due to their soft sailcloth. In the medium and larger sizes (e.g. 3.0 or 3.5) they are optimal practice sails for the whole family.
They are usually produced with different materials (Dacron) than advanced sails and have a construction that allows stronger gusts to pass through well. They also do not build up too much pressure and are therefore perfect for learning the basics and for children and teenagers.
Dacron material has the advantage of being very strong and durable, but unfortunately heavier compared to the lightweight monofilm sails. Monofilm is not as durable and also breaks down faster if you fall on the sail.
A complete rig set includes sail, boom, divisible masts, mastbase and a launching sheet. Attention: The mast base (connection rig with the board) must be ordered separately for some brands.
