The Mantis is an extremely well-established, high-performance all-rounder that is ideal for use in the waves, is fast, can also be used for freestyle and cuts a very fine figure on our European inland waters. It is the "go-to" wing and loyal companion of Tituan Galeia, who recently took 2nd place in the "Freefly Slalom" at the GWA Wingfoil World Tour 2023.
VISION
The Vision is an all-rounder with a very light feel. It has a stronger V-position (dihedral) than the Mantis and is also suitable for a wide range of conditions from cruising to wave riding. The Vision is available in sizes up to 8m2, with the 6m2 to 8m2 sizes specifically designed for light wind conditions! Cabrinha has made some changes compared to last year's models. Among other things, a new convex strut has been installed to improve frame strength. Cabrinha relies on rigid handles for both the Mantis and the Vision.
Our opinion:
As advanced wingsurfers, we often use the Mantis in the smaller sizes (Power and Speed) and the Vision in the larger sizes. The Vision in the larger sizes is optimized for light winds (minimizing water contact of the wingtips). For wing sizes that are not so easy to pump, or if skills are not yet so well developed, with the Vision is also fairly easy to get on the foil passively/ without much effort if you choose the right board and foil.
