KT Surfing
KT has a growing range of shapes that are suitable for wingsurfing. The boards are manufactured in a carbon monocoque construction.
Ginxu
The Ginxu is equipped with a step bottom (a step in the tail). This means that a good third of the board, including the foil box, is cut out. The aim is to create a better/direct connection to the foil and at the same time to create advantages for touch downs. There are currently 11 models between 26 and 120 liters in volume.
Wing Drifter
Most of the shapes are slightly longer, wider and thinner than the Ginxu, but the board remains quite compact. The versions with a higher volume are designed for wing and SUP foiling, while the smaller ones are suitable for prone foilers. There are currently 13 models between 34 and 155 liters in volume.
Drifter Slim
This is the most surf-oriented outline and is primarily aimed at prone foilers. However, the boards can also be used for wingsurfing. There are currently four models between 25 and 40 liters.
Ginxu Dragonfly
The Ginxu Dragonly is a downwind board developed for prone or SUP foiling. The board is also suitable for wingsurfing in light winds.
Our opinion: In light wind, you can get a knot or two of additional low wind performance if using a downwind board, and downwind boards make it possible to use smaller wings than it would be possible with most classic wingboards. However, the boards are not only longer but also narrower and usually less stable than the classic wingsurf shapes. A certain amount of experience therefore is required.
