SIC Darkhorse
SIC was born of shaper/waterman Mark Raaphorst. Hailing originally from the Netherlands, he left at the age of 16 to fulfill his windsurfing dreams, which, like so many windsurfers, landed him on the north shores of Maui, Hawaii. here he fulfilled his dream of becoming a waterman, making a living doing board repairs, and learning the craft of shaping from the masters.

SURFBOARD - Softboard - Beginners to intermediates
The softboard revolution is underway, and these boards are no longer just toys. The fusion of great shapes and technically sophisticated designs combines style and performance. The SIC Darkhorse series, with its Vortex TM construction, provides even more fun on the water and combines the highest quality softboard technology with composite stringers and lightweight core materials to create true high-performance boards.
Construction:
Darkhorse boards feature an EPS core and the bottom and top skins are made of high-quality Vectra Ply reinforced polyethylene to promote speed, stiffness, and durability. The rails are made of high-density EVA to increase durability. At the same time, the low friction ensures a comfortable feel when paddling. A key distinguishing and core feature of SIC Darkhorse boards is the Dullies TM (double-glazed composite rail stringer). This gives the boards their unique stiffness without compromising the lively feel and pop! The boards are equipped with FCS Fusion-compatible fin boxes and can be used as a quad or tri-fin setup in the 5'8“ and 6'8” lengths and as a tri-fin setup for the 7'4“ and 8'4” lengths.
