SIC OKEANOS DF
SIC was born of shaper/waterman Mark Raaphorst. Hailing originally from the Netherlands, he left at the age of 16 to fulfill his windsurfing dreams, which, like so many windsurfers, landed him on the north shores of Maui, Hawaii. here he fulfilled his dream of becoming a waterman, making a living doing board repairs, and learning the craft of shaping from the masters.

SUP board - touring, fitness
The SIC Okeanos is one of the best-selling fitness and touring boards on the SUP market. This board series is ideal for fitness, touring, and traveling. The Okeanos series is very similar to the RS series, but these boards are designed more for recreational paddling and traveling than for racing. These boards are easy to paddle and glide efficiently and quickly.
The concave in the tail allows for good straight-line stability, higher average speed, and better gliding characteristics. The nose chine in the bow allows the board to glide easily through the water and keeps the board extremely well on course even in windy conditions and cross-chop. The generous tail width and wide rails make this board extremely stable. The front of the board has been widened, which also contributes to stability.
The board has several attachment points and luggage straps for carrying accessories and equipment. The board can be used as a single fin or with two side fins (not included). The two-side-fin setup is ideal for paddling in shallow or rocky water and provides less draft.
The Okeanos is a great fitness board, ready for any tour or adventure. Winner of the SUP Connect Gear of the Year “Overall 2019” Award and the SUP Connect Gear of the Year “Touring 2019” and “Touring 2020” Awards.
Construction:
The Okeanos is manufactured using the Dragon Fly (DF) construction method. This construction ensures significantly greater durability compared to the previous TWC construction. The EPS core is completely wrapped in oak veneer – (tip-to-tail / 360-degree rail-to-rail wrap). This makes Okeanos boards some of the most robust composite boards on the market. They also impress with their competitive weight and affordable price. The boards are additionally laminated with fiberglass and feature unique graphics. The comfortable EVA deck pad rounds off the features.
