The Mayhem 3.0 is an all-new template. With the trend of modern HP shortboards leaning into more curve under the back foot for critical pocket surfing, we felt the need for the fins to evolve with the rockers of the board. We wanted to add a bit more base, more rake, and a narrower tip than our previous thruster template. The idea with the base and rake is more drag and bite when diving deep into turns and maintaining drive through tight turns. The reduced tip area with a rejuvenated flex provides more release and freedom for quick transitions in and out of turns when needed. We took these fins into the wave pools for controlled, repeatable testing and also worked with our crew of elite surfers of varying sizes to get feedback and input.
